Gingerbread Houses

To help us get into the holiday spirit just a bit more, we took the time to decorate gingerbread houses this weekend!

Such a perfect activity for their ages now as well. Both of them were able to frost their house and decorate with candies. Kellen certainly ate more candy than he decorated with. Although I don't think Quinn was too behind on candy consumption.

I found a gingerbread house kit at Target during their after-Halloween sale. I paid maybe $1 for it. 5 houses were included in the kit.

I bought some extra candy from the Christmas section and poured it all into bowls.

Then we let them have at it.

Jason considered this his practice run before the ultimate gingerbread decorating contest coming up over Christmas. It's year 2 and he's already got a plan in motion!
