Dallas Snow Storm

Last week Dallas had a snow storm. That doesn't seem like a big deal to people living in the north. To us, it was a pretty big deal.

I was told we received about 12 inches in two days. I know that 180,000 homes were without power, some until this week. As for us, we didn't have cable. The snow covered our satellite and we made do with shows on the dvr (mostly Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Dora). I rejoiced when the snow started to melt and the satellite started to pick up signals again.

Although this snow wasn't Quinn's first, it was the first time she was allowed to play in it. We took about 10 minutes one morning to run out there and get our hands and feet cold. She seemed to like it. We could have stayed out longer if I'd had proper clothing for her. But snow was starting to leak through her pants and into her little boots. Her legs were starting to get red too!

Here she is running away from me... typical!

She's so cute though!

I absolutely love these pics! I wish Levi could experience snow too! It seems weird that a boy with a NE Native as his mother hasn't got to play in any!

Those will make some great "historical" pictures for her! Dallas with 1 foot of snow! Ha!
