A Few Updates ~ 9 months ~

First off, Quinn had a playdate this weekend that involved several other cutie pies. Shown here are Andrew, Kendall and Quinn. Grant joined us a bit later, after this picture was taken. And since it was tax-free weekend, we ventured to the Grapevine Mills Mall to see if there were any sales we couldn't live without. Turns out, when lines are long enough, you can live without just about anything! We did look at the Carter's store on Friday and got a lot of stuff so we really didn't need much on Saturday. But we love to window shop!

On Friday, Quinn had her 9 month vaccination shots. She's doing really well and super healthy. She measured in at 21.3 lbs (90 percentile), 29 1/4" (95 percentile), and I'll have to look up head circumference later. Her head size was 50 percentile though.

We did purchase the Britax Roundabout 50 carseat but haven't installed it yet. I just know that it'll take me some time and I'll have to do it in the heat. So it's sitting in our living room for now.

In this picture above, we decided to snap Q eating breakfast. Hence the diaper and bib but no clothing. She's just finishing her bottle after having her apple cinnamon oatmeal food. You can see she is very relaxed and enjoying it for all it's worth. Oh, and we think she's throwing gang signs but for the life of me I cannot figure out where she learned them. Darn neighborhood kids...

Jas and I also took her to the pet store to interact with puppies, kittens, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, mice and fish. All of these, with the exception of the fish, are a hands on experience if you feel like it. I really wanted to get a puppy out and play but Jas didn't want too. I'm not sure if he thought I'd beg to bring one home or if he just didn't feel up to it.

It's funny, when you're there you so badly want to bring one home and picture cuddling with it on the couch, taking morning walks in the cool weather and beautiful sunrise. You picture Quinn laughing and playing with the puppy and everyone just one big happy family. As soon as you get home, you realize how tired and lazy you feel and if that dog peed or did anything else on your carpet you'd go ballistic. So perhaps it's best that we don't get a pet right now, ha!

Ok, Q is getting really good at balancing. I got a quick clip of her standing up while drinking from her water bottle. Please ignore the coughing at the end, she's fine. This is the same coughing that we use an inhaler for. She's not sick, I swear!

And here is a quick clip of some walking! She can actually walk farther than what is shown here but I'm struggling to capture it. She just really started to pick up speed last night to be honest. She's been taking 2 or 3 steps max until last night when she walked from the couch to the chair, approx. 6 steps! And she keeps at it too, regardless how many times she falls. We're very proud of her and completely in awe.

Oh my goodness! She is getting so good! You're going to be exhausted keeping up with her when she really gets going!
