Memorial Day Weekend

Where do I begin? We had such a great time this Memorial Day weekend with Brian, Alexa and Addison. The cousins (Addison and Quinn) had not seen each other since Christmas. Well, that goes for all of us seeing each other.

As you can see from the pictures, they're about the same size. Only a couple inches and pounds apart. Addison is approx. 21 pounds, Quinn is 19. Not sure on the height but let me just say that Addison is 13 months older than Quinn! So we have one baby that is small for her age and one that is large. Oh my.

This weekend held some firsts for Quinn. She had her first pool experience (and absolutely LOVED it!). We thought that she might like it since she loves the bath, but we had no idea how much she was going to love it. She was splashing and kicking her arms and legs. In the picture, you can see all three babies that had their very first pool experience that day. On the left is Channing, then Addison and Quinn. What a great day!

Quinn also had her first theft experience. This one still makes me laugh. We all went to the mall so Addison could play in the children's play area. It was hot outside and the mall sounded more inviting. Alexa noticed a Texas themed shop that she wanted to look for a tshirt at, for Addy. While in there, Quinn was playing with some hats hanging on the wall. She was able to reach for the hats from her stroller and managed to pull a few of them off the hanger. I picked them back up and we took our beast of a stroller outside the store to wait for the girls to finish up. About an hour later, Alexa reached inside the stroller and pulled out one of the hats! Good grief, Quinn already has sticky fingers?! Here's the funny thing though, the hat says "Ride like you stole it". We were laughing so hard all the way back to the store to return it!

The rest of the time we just hung out and kept it low key. We played board games at night (and we're all terrible at trivial pursuit), did some shopping during the day, and of course, took LOTS of pictures!

What cute pics! I'm glad you had such a great visit. I frequently feel like Levi appears to be a bully pulling hair, poking eyes, etc. so I'm glad he's not unique to this stage of life!
